Winter Hike Series: Family hike & hot cocoa - 10450912

12/15/24 update: Forest Hike is still on rain or clouds. Afterwards we will have hot cocoa. You are welcome to stay and walk the twinkling lights trail. Please be aware: Due to heavy rain some of the outdoor twinkling lights on our winter light trail might not be working properly. Thank you for your understanding.


Take a 1-mile forest hike with a naturalist followed by hot cocoa. Stay afterwards for the holiday lights at 5pm. This program counts as part of the Metro Parks Winter Hike Series.

Meeting Location Notes: Highbanks Nature Center is the first right after entering the park. There is limited parking in the Nature Center lot on busy days. Additional parking is available in the Oak Coves Picnic Area, a 10 minute walk from the Nature Center. Follow the paved trail through Oak Coves toward the Nature Center.
